A couple of days ago there was a posting from Maculatlus about a new video clip. It has disappeared along with a reply posting from me asking a couple of questions.
New subject. Is there any way to subscribe to "Wetting her Panties" without giving my email address? Or is the anonymity I think I am protecting really an illusion? Do my "cookies" Identify me?
Thank you

I doubt you can remain anonymous, because you have to enter your credit card details to iBill or ccBill, and this would identify you to those who wished to discover that info.
I can understand your worries, especially as the authorities now have the capacity to store all e-mails sent and websites visited for up to 24 months. I had the same feelings when I first subscribed, but I take the view that as there is nothing illegal going on, the powers that be would (hopefully) not be concentrating on this sort of activity.
But I may be wrong, I just take a chance.
For sites where no costs are involved, I just created a Hotmail account with a name that was similar to my own but not quite the same, and use that e-mail address for registrations.

Hi unreg,
Regarding a message from Maculatus, I haven't deleted any - maybe the thread has scrolled onto the next page?
Regarding email addresses - if you sign up using one of the online methods, the email address is used by CCBill or iBill to send you a confirmation email containing a subscription number and other details. This is effectively a receipt. If you sign up by mail order (directly to Skymouse Productions), the email address is doubly important, because not only do we need to be able to tell the customer when the account has been activated, but also sometimes we have to give the customer different login details from the ones they requested (e.g. if their preferred username is already taken).
For any of these purposes, you could use a Hotmail address, if you wish not to use your regular email address.

Also, concerning cookies -- cookies are totally incapable of gaining any information about you. A cookie is a piece of data which a web site places on your computer. One commonplace use for a cookie is to store a unique number (generated by the website at random) on your computer, so that the website can determine whether you are a new visitor or not. This way, the website knows when to ask you for login details (e.g. right at the start), and then knows you're logged in right until you close the browser.
That is what happens when you log into a system like Hotmail, and is why you don't have to keep giving it your password for each individual message you read (you only have to log in at the start). On our paysites, we use a similar method. If we didn't, then you'd have to re-type your username and password every time you clicked on a different photo - imagine how annoying that'd be!
