I'm not sure that holding it in deliberately, at least for longer than you have to, is a good idea. I don't want to be spoil sport, but I think restraining the urge to wee for too long can be harmful.

adrian as a longtime holder I can assure you it is only harmful if done to the extreme on a frequent basis. Otherwise, done in moderation, holding is harmless. The bladder is like any muscle....the more you use it the stronger it gets, as long as you give it a chance to rest in between.
