I know you're trying to encourage long term membership in every way that you can, but I'd like to see you rotate more than just one vid a week through the old movies section of the member site. I became a loyal member over a year ago, and have stuck with that membership...but the first vid I got was wp-105 At the rate you're rotating these clips through, it'll take me like two years to get all of the vids I missed.
For those of us who are members, most of us will stay members for a long time...the old vids won't keep us any more than the new vids would.
So is there any way you could rotate 3 or 5 clips per week into availability?

Good point, quietpr. A few months ago, before I became a member, I purchased the WP-2 CD which contains 0021-0040. Video 0021 was just posted this week. At one a week, it will be 20 weeks, or next spring, before videos I haven't seen show up. I agree 3 to 5 a week would be reasonable.

I agree too 3-5 a week would be ideal.

I hope before long to be able to increase the number that are rotated at a time, but at the moment the bandwidth is too high to do it in one go. Instead, once I've analysed the impact so far, I might reduce the time between each update of this series.

I knew bandwidth would be a problem...so instead of posting all updates at the same time...you can spread out bandwidth consumption out over the whole by posting a new classic vid every other day or something like that.
Then your regular members would be getting ones they haven't seen in less time and you won't have to deal with people uploading more than one vid at a time...it should work.

I have to agree with quietpr. If any of the intention of posting old videos is to let members download ones that they missed or could not (eg, before having ADSL) previously, a rate of one per week will never catch up to the present, new posts. To get to the ones you cannot obtain on CD will now take until 2005, not early next year!
I appreciate the bandwidth issue, but you need to find some way round that and post the old videos at a reasonable rate. Quietpr's suggestion seems eminently sensible: remove a link and add a new one every day or, at least, perhaps each time you apply any other update to the web site to avoid adding to your work. With 10 on display, each old file will be still be on offer for around 2 weeks so people are unlikely to miss out through not being around, yet will be able to get the videos they need in weeks rather than years. :)
Please consider this idea carefully. Thanks Sky! 8)

...ideally, you'd like to catch up to the new videos and cycle back around again so that you're ALWAYS pleasing new members with the ability to download clips they've never seen.
You probably add new members every week...they're never going to catch up if you're doing this one clip per week.
I'd say every other day would be enough to satisfy most on here...that's 7 every two weeks....it would take me about 12 weeks to get all the vids at that clip...that's fair.
