Hello all,
Just wondering if people may be able to help with a little dilemma of mine. Having been with my girlfriend for a little while now, we have decided that its best if she goes on the pill ( we hate condoms ). Being the responsible adults we are ( a recent developement in my case...lol) , we are going to both get ourselves checked next Thursday.
Problem occurs when the receptionist informs us that we can't utilize a bathroom for two hours before hand. Both my girlfriend and I are not known for our bladders of steel ( myself especially in the morning ....when appointment is ). Although we joke about it, we are both worried. Any tips on how the situation could be made more easy would be greatly appreciated.
Gratitude in advance.

I would say to have a bowel movement 2 hours before the appointment if possible, as well as keeping your fluid intake to a minmum. Good luck

Yes, as Tapper says, try and drink as little as possible - just a mouthful after getting up if you both can manage it. Yes you will dehydrate, but you can make that up after the appointment, and a few hours is not going to harm you.
Better to feel thirsty than be bursting for the appointment.

One other suggestion might be to get up early and get the "morning pee" out of the way so you're not dying by the time your appointment comes around, and then as has been suggested, limit your liquid intake till afterward. :)

Hiya,
I think it depends when your appoinment is. I'm much better at holding in the afternoon than I am in the morning, for example.
Coffee or tea is a definite no no! I would suggest that you drink just enough water to keep you hydrated and nothing else and you should be OK for two hours. Best not to think about it too much as well! And try not to be nervous. Keep occupied beforehand. Nervousness always brings it on.

Ps I have a new story that I'll post later today hopefully!

If you both have difficulty holding it for two hours, I would consider seeing a doctor about more than contraception - sounds like you may have some sort of medical condition (I guess a weak bladder is that!) and there may be something you can do to improve the situation.

Thank you for your replies. I guess I will cut out my morning coffees, and limit my water intake. As it is at midday, I hope the morning effect won't be too forceful. Obviously, if any embarassing things were to occur with either my girlfriend or myself, I promise I will inform of the events.
Thanks again, and wish us luck on the 26th.
