Pardon me for asking, but has there been a log-in problem at the pool for a couple of days? For me, the log-in screen is dead. Can't do anything about it. Am I persona non grata? Any info would be appreciated.

Hiya Roger,
The log-in is definitely working. I've not had any complaints or comments from anyone else so I assume it must be a problem at your end. Have you made any changes to your computer recently that might affect the Java?
If you're using the log-in screen here (http://www.thepool2.com/html/chat.html) then you could try the one here (http://www.katykins.com) instead, but I highly doubt one would be working and the other down...

Hmm.. dunno about that one. I'm not a regular there at all. But for the sake of it I just tried, and it works OK here in IE but it doens't work in Netscape. Probably a setting here in my NS but I don't wanna investigate it. :)

For the Pool login to work (and the chat in Sky's web cam for that matter) you have to have Java enabled. Not just JavaScript, the full blown Java applets.
In Internet Explorer, select Tools - Internet Options... then the Security tab, make sure the Internet security zone is highlighted (easiest way is to do it while on a web page like this one) and click the Custom button. Scroll down and, under the heading Java VM set Java permissions to High safety (it's probably disabled at the moment). Do not set it to any lower safety as it is not necessary for chat applets. OK everything and then reload the Chat login page. It should now work.
