Part of Sahara's webcam on TV Tue 26 Apr - Q for Sky

Tuesday 26 Apr, on UK channel 4 at 11.05 p.m., Sahara will be appearing in a documentary. This may include some footage that the Channel 4 crew made during one of our recent panty-wetting webcam shows with Sahara, as well as some of her other experiences as a glamour model.

There may be some glimpses of me as well (shudder)...

I have recorded it off-air and rendered it as a DVD clip. I don't know about the copyright but, if that is OK (or Sky's agreement with the film maker permits him to use it), I can send it to him. Please let me know, Sky.

I'll unsticky this and change the title of the original post to try to attract Sky's attention to the questions...

WT, I would guess the copyright is owned by either Channel 4 or the production company (Betty TV Ltd). I don't suppose they'd mind me having a copy of the clip as a one-off special case.

I've written the VCD and DVD 3m00s clips of Sahara in your studio to CD and will mail it to you tomorrow. Please put the VCD on your site for members to download. The DVD clip could maybe be added to a future DVD as a bonus, but that would require you to clear copyright with the production company as it would be commercial. I'll drop off the whole programme as a DVD once I have generated it and with the new pieces of carpet sometime between the May Day and Spring bank holiday weekends.

WT, thanks for your efforts. I think it would be a copyright breach for me to make your recording available for download. I will have a look, though, and may have a word with the film makers to see what they say.

Thanks to the two of you. As Kate asked first, she can do the honours. I mailed the CD with the VCD clip to Sky before reading his replies so there are two ways of doing this:
Either Kate liaise with Sky for him to send on the CD (that way I don't need to know your address),
Or private message me your address and I will burn and post another copy.

Hang on a sec, there, WT :) If I get hold of an *.mpeg or a *wmv (or something) of the small excerpt that included Sky's studio - which I guess would be about 4 minutes of footage - then I'd definitely share it with others, probably by putting it on some spare webspace and giving people a "right-click"able link, but I'm not sure about becoming some sort of "official" host of the clip! Your action plan sounds a little too formal for my liking.

If someone such as Sky wants to email me a small clip of the webcam excerpt then I'll certainly put it online, but I'm not prepared to get involved with snail mailing CDs around, etc.

The CD is simply to get the clip to you as it is too large to e-mail or for my webspace to hold for you to download once. It is 3 mins long and about 30Mb, so comparable to a Skymouse weekly movie. The intention is that you would copy the VCD file to your server and provide a link, as you suggest. It is not a playable VCD disk so there would be no point duplicating it. Anyway, let me know... :arrow:
