here's something a little more upbeat to combat all the negativity flying around the board today ;)
i had a really good time last night. i was bombarded with top quality music, was put on the guestlist so didn't have to queue in the cold with all the other punters, managed to catch up with loads of people i don't see often enough, got to chat to one of my current favourite producers, and drank enough vodka lime and soda to take a bath in. unfortunately though, aside from the unavoidable killer hangover my ears are still ringing from dancing in front of a funktion-one stack for the majority of the night. for anyone not enough of an audio geek to know about funktion-one speakers (actually i'd be pretty suprised if anyone did know what i was talking about)... here's a link to a photo of what the club was fitted out with http://www.funktion-one.com/Club_Systems_Tony.htm
there were at least 6 of these in the main room along with various other horns and tweeters, and the power around the club a totalled an ear-pounding 48,000 watts of ludicrously ultra-crisp sound. :drool:
anyway, the point... i was walking into the toilets when a girl ran out of the ladies holding her hand between her legs, jumping up and down, saying how much she needed to pee, and pleading for us to let her go in the guy's toilets since there was a massive queue in the ladies. she went to do her thing in one of the cubicles, and after we'd both had a well needed pee (i got the feeling hers was slightly more urgent than mine though) she was standing next to me as we were both washing our hands in the sink. after finishing washing her hands she proceeded to try and dry her hands on my t-shirt (classy, i know). i said 'excuse me?' and called her a 'cheeky bitch' or something to that effect, to which she laughed and apologised. we got talkling after that and apparently she'd been drinking quite heavily in a bar earlier on before queueing outside the club for ages; she said she'd almost not made it to the toilets inside the club and very nearly wet herself. the conversation continued and she was actually quite nice, but nothing really worth talking about since i didn't actually do anything with her other than have a chat and a bit of a dance before i managed to lose her in the crowd; it's not really my style to pull random girls in clubs anyway so i'm not overly regretful about losing her. i thought the story of how i got talking to her was worth mentioning though, to be honest i just couldn't believe how crass she was :|
