For all bedwetting fans, there is a challenge for who can go most nights wetting the bed starting this Sunday, which is in a thread near the top of the Bedwetting Wet Set message board. I wasn't sure if I was allowed to put the link here, so I didn't.

Anyway, I thought about taking part, but I don't have a mattrass protector. So, today I went into 2 major department stores to buy one, buy neither had any. I was surprised at this, so my question is - where can you buy one if these department stores don't have them?

I'm not keen in entering a bedwetting contest without a mattrass protector, unless I think of an alternative to use instead. Any bedwetting fans here? And can anyone give me advice about a mattrass protector?

Grant.

You could use a shower curtain or bin liners

That's all I can think of

What are the "rules" Grant??? ... I've never heard of a "bedwetting contest" before ... is it judged on how may times you wet the bed or the length of time you wet it ??? .. just curious thats all ...

btw ... has anyone considered entering a contest for setting a world record of the number of wetters one can fit on a King sized bed at the same time??? ... I recon we'd kill it (us folks from here) imagine the Puddle on the floor underneath ... What do you recon hey ??? hehehe

Several, I'm sure :-)

I've bought them at both Target and Walmart, they're usually called something like "Waterproof mattress pad (or cover)". Maybe you just need to take a closer look? They end to come folded up in a relatively small package. I've seen them on their web sites as well.

Allders did a very nice mattress protector which was plastic backed terry towling. Sad day when they went bust.
Boots do one, its OK.
However. You can get them on the net. This is the best place http://www.snugnights.co.uk/ - Recommend the 'Allergon'.
Its a good idea to sandwich large soft towels between the sheets & the mattress protector, otherwise the pee can run off onto the floor - especially at the moment you get out of bed. LOL

mmmmm that "Allergon" cover does sound nice:

"... The upper surface is a very soft 100% cotton terry with a very light yet 100% waterproof polyurethane backing. This protector is waterproof yet you cannot feel it, it is breathable and does not make the user hot or sweaty nor is it noisy to sleep on..."

If you use a thick cotton mattress pad in between the waterproof pad and the sheets, that also works. And since it's fitted, it doesnt move around like the towels do. :-) Also, since it adds a soft cottony layer between the waterproof pad and the sheets, it feels like you're really peeing right into the mattress. And (in my opinion at least) bed wetting should have a natural feel.
